Netflix Korean movie “HUMINT” brings together Zo In-sung and Park Jeong-min for a tense spy thriller built around intelligence operations, hidden identities and a dangerous confrontation between North and South Korea.
The film follows a South Korean intelligence agent investigating a drug trafficking operation in Russia. His mission soon brings him face-to-face with a North Korean operative, drawing both men into a dangerous web of secrets where trust can be as risky as betrayal.
Zo In-sung leads the film alongside Park Jeong-min, with Park Hae-joon and Shin Sae-kyeong rounding out the main cast. The combination of espionage, action and conflicting loyalties gives “HUMINT” a darker tone than a conventional action movie, with the characters’ motives becoming increasingly important as the mission unfolds.
The film also offers another showcase for Korean cinema’s growing presence in the international action and thriller genres, pairing large-scale tension with a story centered on the people operating behind the scenes of intelligence warfare.
For viewers looking for a new Korean movie to stream, “HUMINT” delivers espionage, action and an acclaimed cast in a story where every alliance comes with a question.
