Netflix’s new romantic comedy series ‘Charge Me Up’ has unveiled its official trailer, raising anticipation for the upcoming series.
‘Charge Me Up’ follows Baek Ho-rang (Kim Young-kwang), a wealthy hotel executive and third-generation chaebol heir who has an artificial heart, and Na Bo-bae (Chae Soo-bin), a woman with the extraordinary ability to generate electricity through physical contact.
Ho-rang appears to have everything, but his life is at risk when the battery powering his artificial heart begins to run out. His situation takes an unexpected turn when he meets Bo-bae, whose unique electrical ability happens to work on him.
The two eventually enter a special “charging contract” to keep Ho-rang alive. What begins as a relationship based purely on necessity gradually develops into unexpected romantic feelings.
The newly released trailer showcases the pair’s playful clashes as two people with completely different personalities are forced to grow closer for Ho-rang’s survival. With its unique fantasy premise combined with romance and comedy, the series promises a fresh take on the romantic comedy genre.
Attention is now focused on whether a relationship that began simply as a way to “recharge” can ultimately turn into genuine love.
With the unique chemistry between Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin, ‘Charge Me Up’ is poised to bring a fresh romantic comedy to audiences this fall.
